PhishDestroy threat report
panelnode.online is an impersonation phishing page that posed as a legitimate service to win the trust of crypto users. Its listing on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, both focused on Web3 threats, places its targets among wallet holders. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-08-12. The site went offline on 2026-09-09, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a service the victim already trusts, so the request for sensitive input feels routine. In crypto schemes, that request is usually a wallet connection, a transaction signature or a recovery phrase typed into a fake form. A seed phrase hands over the entire wallet. A signed approval can let the operator move tokens later without asking again. The domain name suggests a dashboard or node panel, the kind of setting where users expect to log in or connect.
On 2026-08-17, six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but the vendors are independent, and the verdict lines up with listings by MetaMask and SEAL in addition to PhishDestroy. Spamhaus DBL lists the domain under its phishing category, DBL_PHISH, which feeds mail and DNS filtering widely. Three AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it, which shows other analysts tracked it separately.
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on the low-cost .online extension, a common pairing for throwaway phishing domains. It went offline within a month of first detection. That short lifespan is typical of operations that rotate to fresh domains once blocklists catch up, so the same scheme may reappear under a new name.
If you connected a wallet to this site, review your active token approvals with a reputable revocation tool and remove any you do not recognize. If you typed a seed phrase or private key into it, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a newly created wallet right away. If you reused a password there, change it everywhere you used it and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and mail gateways and watch for lookalike names registered through the same channels.
