ktxjp.vip is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself simply as "KTX" and borrows that name to win the trust of crypto users. The "jp" tacked onto the brand in the domain hints at an audience in Japan, though the page itself only carries the bare KTX title. PhishDestroy first caught it on 2026-09-25, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages like this copy the look and name of a known service so visitors believe they are on the real KTX platform. From there, the usual goal is to collect login credentials, coax the visitor into connecting a wallet and signing transactions, or persuade them to deposit funds into an account that only exists on the scammer's side. Whatever the victim types in or approves goes straight to the operators. That can mean a hijacked account, a drained wallet, or deposits that can never be withdrawn.
Evidence
Wallet-security blocklists have flagged the domain. MetaMask and SEAL both list it alongside PhishDestroy, which means wallet users relying on those protections should see a warning before the page loads. On VirusTotal, 13 of 91 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-03, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-21, only four days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains spun up for a single campaign. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server behind the proxy. A free Let's Encrypt certificate supplies the padlock icon, so the padlock is no sign that the site is genuine.
What to do
If you entered a KTX username, password or email on this site, change that password immediately wherever you reuse it and turn on app-based 2FA. Also review recent account activity. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke the token approvals granted during that session with a trusted approval-management tool, and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you shared a seed phrase. Never send further "fees" to unlock a balance shown on this site. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to mail and web filters. They should also report it to the registrar and to Cloudflare's abuse channel so the live page can be taken down.
