PhishDestroy threat report
bridger.fi is an impersonation phishing page posing as Ledger, the hardware wallet maker. Its browser tab reads simply "Ledger". It targets people who own or are setting up a Ledger device. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-11, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.
Ledger impersonation pages usually copy the brand's look and claim the visitor's device needs attention, such as a firmware update, a security check or a wallet sync. The goal is to get the victim to type their 24-word recovery phrase into the site or to connect and sign with their wallet. A recovery phrase entered on a web page gives the operator full control of every account derived from it, and they can empty those accounts without touching the physical device. The domain name says "bridger", not Ledger, so victims typically land on it through ads, direct messages or fake support replies rather than by searching for the brand.
Detection by security vendors is still thin. On 2026-10-16, only 3 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. A clean result from most scanners therefore says nothing about whether the site is safe. ScamSniffer, a wallet-focused blocklist, lists it independently alongside PhishDestroy. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered on 2026-10-01 through Immaterialism Ltd, just ten days before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap points to a site set up specifically for this campaign. It sits behind Cloudflare, with the address geolocated to Canada, which hides the actual origin server. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted, not that the site belongs to Ledger.
If you typed your recovery phrase into this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Generate a new phrase on your Ledger device and move any remaining funds to it immediately. Ledger never asks for your phrase online. If you connected a wallet or signed anything there, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker. Security teams should block bridger.fi at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare's abuse channel. They should also warn Ledger users in their communities that support will never request a recovery phrase.
