PhishDestroy threat report
billigjewelersco.shop is a fake online shop dressed up as a local jewelry retailer. Its page title is "Premier Jewelry Shop in Cherry Hill." It targets bargain hunters looking for rings, necklaces and other jewelry at prices that seem too good to pass up. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16, and the storefront was still online with its content live when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Fake jewelry shops borrow the credibility of a real-sounding local business. They then fill the catalog with steeply discounted pieces to push quick checkouts. The victim pays and then receives nothing, a cheap item unrelated to the order, or a tracking number that leads nowhere. Customer service goes silent when refunds are requested. Beyond the purchase price, any card number, billing address and phone number typed into checkout end up with the operators, who can reuse or sell them.
On 2026-10-16, 14 of 92 VirusTotal engines classified the site as malicious. They include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft, a spread of independent vendors rather than a single outlier. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically tagged the page as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-18, roughly six months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests a storefront built and seasoned before it drew attention. The site is served from an IP located in the US on a network operated by Malakmadze Web LLC, a provider registered in Georgia. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the padlock icon, but it only encrypts the connection and says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
If you paid on this site, call your card issuer now. Report the charge as fraud, request a chargeback, and ask for a replacement card. If you entered a phone number or email, watch for follow-up "delivery problem" or refund messages, which often lead to a second scam. Do not pay anything extra to "release" an order. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP at web proxies and DNS filters, and warn users about local-business lookalike stores.
For this gTLD, the registrar above operates under an ICANN accreditation agreement. The links below provide the official fee schedule and current DNS abuse compliance guidance.
