PhishDestroy threat report
bigagnesglobal.shop is a fake online shop dressed up as Big Agnes, the outdoor and camping gear brand. Its page title, "Mother of Comfort | Big Agnes | Big Agnes", borrows the brand's name to pass as an official or authorized store. It targets shoppers looking for tents, sleeping bags and other outdoor equipment. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.
Shops like this copy a real brand's look and product range, then list items at discounts too steep for a genuine retailer. Buyers pay at checkout and receive nothing, a cheap substitute, or a fake tracking number that leads nowhere. The checkout form also collects names, addresses, phone numbers and card details, which can be reused for further fraud. Victims lose the purchase price and risk having their personal and payment data exposed.
On 2026-10-19, seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Netcraft. The detection count is modest, but these vendors cover web filtering, reputation and anti-phishing, so several independent sources reached the same conclusion. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and identified it as a fake shop. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-06-05, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap points to a domain registered in advance and run for a while before it drew attention. The site is hosted in Georgia on the Malakmadze Web LLC network. The "global" name on a .shop domain imitates the regional store names real brands use, which helps the site look legitimate to casual shoppers.
If you ordered from this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away to dispute the charge and ask for a replacement card. Watch your statements for unfamiliar transactions, and be wary of follow-up emails or calls about your "order" asking for more money or details. Buy Big Agnes products only through the brand's official channels or retailers it lists as authorized. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to the registrar and hosting provider.
For this gTLD, the registrar above operates under an ICANN accreditation agreement. The links below provide the official fee schedule and current DNS abuse compliance guidance.
