PhishDestroy threat report
bankroll-migration.network was an impersonation phishing page that leaned on the Ethereum name. It presented itself as "Bankroll Vault (VLT) | Liquidity-Backed Digital Asset on Ethereum" and was aimed at token holders and crypto investors. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15, one day after the domain was registered. The site went offline on 2026-09-17, and as of 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolves.
The page title describes a token project rather than Ethereum itself, while our classification is Ethereum impersonation. The pitch combines a supposedly liquidity-backed VLT asset with the word "migration" in the domain, a common lure in which holders are told to move or upgrade their tokens. In schemes like this, the victim connects a wallet to the page and is asked to sign a transaction or approval. That signature can let the operators move the victim's funds out of the wallet. Some versions also ask the visitor to type in a seed phrase, which gives away the entire wallet.
On 2026-09-15, only one of 89 VirusTotal engines (Gridinsoft) flagged the domain, so most security tools would not have warned visitors. urlscan.io was more decisive. It returned a malicious verdict and matched the page to generic crypto-brand phishing. MetaMask and SEAL list the domain on their blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, which gives wallet-level protection independent of antivirus scanners.
The domain was registered through OwnRegistrar, Inc. on 2026-09-14 and was hosted on Wowrack.com in the US. It was live and detected within roughly a day and was dead within three. That pattern points to a disposable domain meant for a short campaign. It used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.
If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to review and revoke any permissions you granted to unfamiliar contracts. Then move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and empty it into a new one immediately. Do not engage with follow-up offers of "migration support" or recovery services, because these are often run by the same people. Defenders should block the domain and the hosting IP 162.245.237.212, and watch for lookalike "migration" or "vault" domains registered around the same time.
