PhishDestroy threat report
virtualidadescol.bid is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself as a Spanish-language Portal de Servicios. It borrows the look of an official online services portal to win the trust of Spanish-speaking users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19, three days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the domain still resolves, but the phishing content no longer loads.
Pages like this copy the layout of a portal people already use, such as a citizen, student or customer services login, so the visitor assumes they are on the real site. The generic title Portal de Servicios fits that approach: it sounds official without being tied to an obvious fake brand. Victims are asked to log in or verify their account, and the usernames, passwords, ID numbers or payment details they type go straight to the operators. Those credentials can then be used to take over the real account or to commit identity fraud.
On 2026-09-29, 18 of 91 VirusTotal engines classified the domain as malicious. That is solid agreement for a site only about two weeks old. The vendors flagging it include alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar, Ermes, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and Fortinet. The domain also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-16 through Cloudflare, Inc. and was already serving phishing content when PhishDestroy found it three days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains set up for a quick campaign. Traffic passes through Cloudflare's network, with the visible address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server stays hidden behind the proxy. The cheap .bid extension and a name that loosely echoes a virtual services portal fit the same disposable pattern.
If you entered a password on this site, change it right away on the genuine service and on any other account that uses the same password. Then turn on two-factor authentication. If you submitted ID numbers or card details, contact your bank to block the card and watch for identity misuse or unexpected account changes. Treat any follow-up email or message that refers to this portal as part of the same scam. Security teams should block virtualidadescol.bid at DNS and web proxies and search logs for visits since 2026-09-16.
