How the scam works
The page borrows Flare's branding and tagline so that a visitor arriving from an ad, a social post or a direct message believes they are on the real project site. The visitor is then asked to sign a transaction or approval, or to type in a recovery phrase. The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-10-10 and detected that same day. That timing points to a disposable domain built for a short campaign. The randomized name on a cheap .cfd extension supports this, since it suggests a batch-generated domain rather than a lookalike meant to fool someone reading the address. The site sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock icon proves nothing about legitimacy.
What to do
