PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

quicknode.vhuatu.com is an impersonation phishing page. It borrows the QuickNode name, a blockchain infrastructure provider, to target crypto developers and wallet users. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-17. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving live content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a trusted crypto service so that visitors believe they are on the real platform. Victims are then prompted to log in, enter API or account credentials, or supply wallet secrets such as a recovery phrase. Whatever is typed goes to the operators, who can take over accounts or empty wallets. The page title reads only "Home" and names no brand, while the hostname uses the QuickNode name and our classification is impersonation.

Evidence

Detection by antivirus engines is low. VirusTotal shows 2 of 92 engines flagging the domain as of 2026-10-17, from CRDF and Ermes. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and matched the page to a generic brand template. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, which gives wallet users protection beyond antivirus coverage.

Infrastructure

The parent domain vhuatu.com was registered on 2013-03-19 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. The site is hosted on Amazon.com, Inc. network space at 95.40.116.4, geolocated to Hong Kong. Its TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (YR2), so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

Do not enter credentials, API keys or wallet information on this site, and close it if you have it open. If you entered a QuickNode or other account password, change it immediately from the official service, rotate any exposed API keys, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you typed a recovery phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a newly created wallet as soon as you can.
