How the scam works
The page title advertises a cheat launcher, while our classification is impersonation phishing. Pages like this borrow the look and name of a launcher product to win the trust of gamers who are already willing to bend rules. Visitors are typically asked to log in, register or pay for "premium" access. That handover is where the damage happens: credentials typed into the page, or payment details entered there, go to the operators. Because cheat buyers rarely report problems to game publishers, they make attractive targets.
Evidence
On 2026-10-11, 6 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Criminal IP, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but it comes from several unrelated vendors rather than a single source. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers have tracked it independently. Among the blocklists we checked, PhishDestroy's is currently the only one listing it, so many browsers and filters may still load the page without a warning.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-06-05 through Global Domain Group LLC, roughly four months before PhishDestroy detected it. The domain was registered well before we caught it. The site sits behind Cloudflare (AS13335) on a US address, so the real origin server is hidden from view. Its TLS certificate from Google Trust Services means the padlock in the browser only shows the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you logged in on lolio.xyz with a game, Discord or email account, change that password immediately, starting with any other service that uses the same one. Then turn on two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions. If you paid, contact your card issuer or payment provider to dispute the charge and watch for further unauthorized transactions. Security teams should block lolio.xyz at DNS and web proxies and alert gaming communities about the "Lolio Launcher" name. Submitting the domain to additional blocklists will help close the gap left by low vendor coverage.
