PhishDestroy threat report
bksactive.shop is a fraudulent storefront that copies BikesOnline, an Australian bicycle retailer, down to a page title promising "Ride More for Less" and the best prices on top-rated bikes. It targets Australian shoppers looking for a discounted bike. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its shop content.
Fake shops like this one borrow a real retailer's name and catalogue, then undercut its prices enough to make a quick purchase feel like a bargain. The buyer adds a bike to the cart, enters a delivery address and card details at checkout, and pays. No bike arrives. The victim loses the purchase price, and the operator also keeps the name, address, phone number and card data, which can be reused for further charges or follow-up phishing.
On 2026-10-17, seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, ESET, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Netcraft. That count is modest, but it comes from several independent vendors only a day after we first detected the site. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-07-19, about three months before it surfaced as a BikesOnline lookalike. Holding a domain for a while before using it is common with fake shops, because it lets the domain age before it goes live. The site is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network, geolocated to China. That is an odd home for a store that presents itself as Australian.
If you paid on bksactive.shop, contact your card issuer or bank right away, report the transaction as fraud, request a chargeback and ask whether the card should be cancelled and reissued. Watch your statements for unfamiliar charges. Treat any emails, texts or calls about "delivery problems" or "customs fees" for your order as further scam attempts. Do not pay anything more. Australian victims can also report the shop to Scamwatch. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web proxies, and BikesOnline's brand-protection team may want to pursue a takedown while the site remains live.
