bitemywoodcare.shop is a fake online store that calls itself "Premium USA-Made Lifestyle Brand – BiteMyWood." It targets shoppers looking for American-made lifestyle and wood-care goods. PhishDestroy first saw the site on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 it was still online and serving its storefront.
How the scam works
The site borrows the look of a boutique brand, with a polished page title, product listings and a "Made in USA" pitch meant to justify premium prices or make discounts look like a rare deal. Shoppers pay at checkout and then receive nothing, a cheap item unrelated to the order, or a tracking number that never moves. Card details and the name, address and phone number entered at checkout end up with the operators. That information can be reused for more fraudulent charges or targeted follow-up scams.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically flagged it as a fake shop, which matches our classification. On VirusTotal, 2 of 92 engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-17: alphaMountain.ai and Gridinsoft. That count is low, which is typical for new storefront scams that host no malware. It does not mean the site is safe. The domain appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The site runs on servers of Malakmadze Web LLC in Georgia. That location has nothing to do with the American-made identity the shop promotes. Its HTTPS certificate is a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the seller is real. The domain uses a cheap .shop name, and the operation was already live and trading when we first saw it.
What to do
If you ordered from this site, contact your card issuer or bank now. Report the charge as fraud, ask for a chargeback, and have the card replaced. Card details given to a fake shop should be treated as compromised. If you paid through PayPal or a similar service, open a "not received" or "not as described" dispute right away, because these have time limits. Watch for phishing messages that use the name and address you gave at checkout. Defenders should block the domain at the DNS or proxy level and report it to card networks and consumer-protection reporting channels to help shut down its payment processing.
