PhishDestroy threat report
web-okx.top is an impersonation phishing site posing as OKX, the cryptocurrency exchange. It targets OKX traders and wallet users who arrive through ads, messages or search results. PhishDestroy flagged it on 2026-10-13, the same day the domain was registered. The site went offline on 2026-10-17, and as of 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolves.
The domain is built to look like an official OKX address. The "web-" prefix and the cheap .top extension are meant to pass a quick glance in a browser bar. Pages like this copy the exchange's login flow so victims hand over their email, password and one-time 2FA codes. Some also push a wallet connection, giving attackers what they need to empty exchange balances or wallet funds. The page title read "New Private Tab" rather than anything OKX-branded, while urlscan.io identified OKX branding in the content we classified as impersonation.
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and matched it to the OKX brand. Besides PhishDestroy, it is listed on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it. VirusTotal tells a different story: on 2026-10-13 none of its 92 engines flagged the domain. That shows how fresh phishing domains slip past conventional scanners in their first hours, which is when most victims are caught.
Registration and detection fell on the same day, 2026-10-13. The site then stayed up for only about four days, a short lifespan typical of disposable phishing domains. It was registered through July Name Limited. It was hosted on the AROSSCLOUD INC. network, which is registered in the US, with the server located in Hong Kong. The site used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether it was legitimate.
If you entered OKX credentials here, change your OKX password from the official app at once. Reset your 2FA, then check your login history, withdrawal whitelist and API keys for changes you did not make. If you connected a wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you do not recognize. If an approval was granted, move remaining assets to a new wallet. Report losses to OKX support and keep any transaction hashes. Defenders should block the domain and hunt for lookalike OKX domains registered around the same date. They should also not treat a zero VirusTotal score as clearance for newly registered domains.

No. PhishDestroy classifies web-okx.top as an OKX impersonation page (risk: critical, 90/100); it was first detected on 2026-10-13. Treat the site as unsafe.
No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on web-okx.top. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.
Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.
