PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

PhishDestroy’s intake system marked vgcoinex.com as malicious because a multi‑source scan returned a malicious verdict and an AI model identified a high‑confidence phishing pattern. The recorded page title "VGcoinExchange" and the fact that the domain was registered only two days before first observation led the assessment to label it as a fraudulent crypto‑exchange. The site returned HTTP 200 on 2026-10-23, the same day it was first seen by PhishDestroy.

How the scam works

Fake cryptocurrency exchange sites typically display a professional‑looking trading interface, claim high returns, and solicit deposits or wallet credentials from visitors. After victims provide funds or access, the operators disappear with the assets, leaving no recourse for the victims.
