PhishDestroy threat report
trocador-app.is is a phishing page that imitated Trocador, a crypto swap aggregator popular with people who want quick, low-friction exchanges between coins. The page presented itself simply as "Trocador", and the domain swaps the brand's own address for a hyphenated lookalike on the .is extension. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-10. The site has been offline since 2026-10-17 and was still dead at our check on 2026-10-19.
Fake swap sites copy the look of a real aggregator so a visitor believes they are starting a normal exchange. The victim picks a pair, enters an amount and is shown a deposit address. That address belongs to the operators, so the coins are taken and nothing is returned. Clones like this may also ask for a wallet connection or a recovery phrase under the pretext of verifying a swap, which hands over control of the wallet. Because Trocador's users often value speed and minimal sign-up, a convincing copy meets little suspicion.
Eleven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain by 2026-10-14. The named detections include BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and Ermes. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, two lists maintained specifically against crypto threats, in addition to PhishDestroy's own. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, so other researchers tracked it independently.
The domain was registered on 2026-10-06 and was already serving the fake page when we caught it four days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains spun up for a single campaign. The server sat in Germany on a network operated by FEMO IT Solutions Limited, a UK-registered provider. Its Let's Encrypt certificate shows that the padlock in the browser proved only an encrypted connection, not that the site was genuine.
If you sent coins to a deposit address shown on this site, save the transaction IDs and the address and report them to the exchange or service you sent from; on-chain transfers cannot be reversed by the scammers' host. If you typed a recovery phrase anywhere on the page, treat that wallet as compromised and move the remaining funds to a new wallet created from a fresh phrase. If you connected a wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you granted during the visit. For future swaps, reach Trocador only through an address you have verified yourself. Security teams should block trocador-app.is and watch for other Trocador lookalikes on alternate extensions.

No. PhishDestroy classifies trocador-app.is as a 1inch impersonation page (risk: critical, 100/100); it was first detected on 2026-10-10. VirusTotal: 11/92 engines flag it. Treat the site as unsafe.
No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on trocador-app.is. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.
Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.
