PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

tivorfin.de is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as TivorFin, a German-language trading brand. Its headline, "180+ Globale Märkte, grenzenloser Erfolg" (180+ global markets, boundless success), is aimed at German-speaking retail investors looking for broad market access. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-10-09, and the site was still online and serving its content when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Sites like this borrow the look and promises of an investment platform to win trust, then ask visitors to register, hand over personal and identity details, and fund an account. The pitch of 180+ markets and unlimited success is meant to make large returns sound routine. In this type of scheme, the account dashboard is usually fake. Deposits go straight to the operators, and withdrawal requests are met with new "fees" or "taxes" until the victim stops paying. Victims can lose their deposited funds along with the personal data they submitted at sign-up.

Evidence

On 2026-10-09, 15 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Among them were BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and DNS8, a mix of established antivirus vendors and threat-intel feeds that independently reached the same conclusion. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses. That makes it a known indicator shared among researchers. It is also on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The site is hosted in the Netherlands on the network of Omegatech LTD. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the operator is legitimate. The .de domain and German-language copy point to an operation built specifically for the German-speaking market.

What to do

If you registered on tivorfin.de, do not send any further money, especially payments described as withdrawal, unlocking or tax fees. These fees are part of the scam and will not release your funds. Contact your bank or payment provider right away to dispute transfers, and report the case to the police with your payment records and any messages from the operators. If you uploaded ID documents, expect follow-up phishing and "fund recovery" offers, which are scams too. Change any password you reused on the site. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting address and add it to mail and web filters.

Is tivorfin.de safe to connect a wallet?

No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on tivorfin.de. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.

After a phishing incident

Recommendations & Advice for Victims

Choose the steps that match what you shared. Keep a copy of this report alongside your own records.

What should I do immediately?

Urgent

Stop using the suspicious site. Open the real service through its official app or an address you already trust.

  • Change all passwords — email, exchange accounts, anything that shares the same password
  • Enable 2FA using an authenticator app (not SMS). Disable SMS-based recovery
  • Freeze cards if you entered banking details on the phishing site

What information should I collect for my report?

FBI guidelines

Keep original emails, receipts, messages and screenshots in a secure place. A factual timeline helps the receiving authority understand what happened. IC3 evidence guidance ↗

  • Payment records — if you paid, save the receipt, amount, date, payment provider and recipient details.
  • Exact dates & times — of each transaction and first contact with scammer
  • Screenshots — scam website, chat messages, emails, wallet transactions, social media
  • All URLs & domains used by the scammer (including tivorfin.de)
  • Communications — emails, texts, phone numbers, usernames the scammer used

Even if you don't have all details — file a report anyway. Partial information still helps investigations.

Where should I report the scam?

  • FBI IC3 — Internet Crime Complaint Center (US federal reporting)
  • Europol — European cybercrime reporting (EU)
  • Your bank or payment provider — contact its fraud team promptly through official contact details if money or card information was exposed.
  • Local police — creates an official record, even if they can't act immediately

A report is not a guarantee of recovery or investigation, but prompt, accurate transaction data can help authorities and service providers trace the incident.

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • Fake websites — pixel-perfect clones of legitimate sites with slightly altered domains
  • Pig butchering — trust built over weeks via Telegram/WhatsApp/dating apps, then money stolen
  • Recovery scams — fraudsters pose as recovery agents and demand upfront fees. Never share a seed phrase or pay before independently verifying the provider
  • AI-powered scams — deepfakes, automated phishing, and AI-generated sites making fraud harder to detect

How can I protect myself in the future?

  • Bookmark official sites — never click links from emails, DMs, or ads
  • Verify domains — check on PhishDestroy before interacting. Check HTTPS, spelling, domain age
  • "Too good to be true" = scam — guaranteed returns, celebrity endorsements, urgent deadlines
