PhishDestroy threat report
ozexchange.com.ng presents itself as "OZ Exchange - Crypto/Gift Cards", a service for trading cryptocurrency and gift cards. Its Nigerian domain points to local users who sell gift card codes or crypto for cash. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-07, and it was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.
Fake crypto and gift card exchanges rely on irreversible transfers. Sellers enter or upload gift card codes, or send crypto to an address the site provides, expecting a payout to their bank account. Once a code is submitted it can be redeemed within minutes, and a crypto transfer cannot be reversed. The payout never arrives, or the victim is told to pay a fee before receiving it. Sites like this may also collect names, phone numbers and bank details that can be reused in later fraud.
On 2026-10-11, six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and desenmascara.me. That is a small share of engines, which is common for a site only a week old. The vendors that did flag it are independent of each other. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it separately, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-10-04 through KeySystems, three days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a site built for a quick run rather than an established trading business. Traffic passes through Cloudflare (AS13335, US), which hides the server actually hosting the content. The padlock comes from a free Let's Encrypt certificate, which encrypts the connection but says nothing about who runs the site or whether it is honest.
Do not send gift card codes, crypto or any "processing fee" to ozexchange.com.ng, and do not pay extra to unlock a promised payout. If you already submitted gift card codes, contact the card issuer immediately with the codes and your receipts, since unredeemed balances can sometimes be frozen. If you shared bank details or ID documents, alert your bank and watch for follow-up scam calls or messages. Security teams should block the domain and report it to KeySystems and Cloudflare with the evidence above.

No. PhishDestroy classifies ozexchange.com.ng as an Amazon impersonation page (risk: critical, 93/100); it was first detected on 2026-10-07. VirusTotal: 6/92 engines flag it. Treat the site as unsafe.
No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on ozexchange.com.ng. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.
Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.
