PhishDestroy threat report
myatomicwallet.readme.io is a phishing page that impersonates Atomic Wallet, the non-custodial multi-coin crypto wallet. It runs on a subdomain of ReadMe, a documentation-hosting service, so the address borrows a legitimate parent domain while presenting itself under the page title "myatomicwallet". PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-17. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still alive and redirecting visitors elsewhere.
Atomic Wallet users hold their own keys, so there is no account password to steal. Pages like this one try to obtain the 12-word recovery phrase or private key instead, usually through fake "restore", "sync" or "support" prompts, or they push a counterfeit wallet download. Once the phrase is entered, the attacker can rebuild the wallet on their own device and move every asset out. These transfers cannot be reversed. The redirect means the readme.io address works as a disposable front door that forwards victims to wherever the operator currently hosts the lure.
Independent detection is thin. On 2026-10-01 only 3 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the address: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and VIPRE. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it so far. Most browsers and security tools will therefore not warn a visitor. The classification rests on the brand impersonation itself, not on vendor consensus.
The address resolves to 104.16.241.118 on Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada. That is the edge serving the ReadMe platform, not hardware the operator controls. Free subdomains on reputable documentation services are popular with phishers because they inherit the parent domain's reputation and cost nothing to replace when one is taken down. The operator never had to register a domain at all.
If you typed your Atomic Wallet recovery phrase or private key anywhere after landing here, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a device you trust, and move any remaining funds to it immediately. If you installed software from this page, uninstall it, scan the device, and assume any wallet on that machine is exposed. Atomic Wallet never asks for your phrase through a website, and real support staff will never request it. Defenders should block the full subdomain, watch for other Atomic-themed subdomains on ReadMe and similar documentation hosts, and report the page to ReadMe for removal.

No. PhishDestroy classifies myatomicwallet.readme.io as an Atomic Wallet impersonation page (risk: critical, 71/100); it was first detected on 2026-09-17. VirusTotal: 3/91 engines flag it. Treat the site as unsafe.
No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on myatomicwallet.readme.io. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.
Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.
