PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

genesis-raydium.io is an impersonation phishing site that borrows the Raydium name, with a "genesis" prefix that hints at a token launch or early-access event, to lure traders who use the Solana exchange. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still live, with its content reachable behind a protective challenge page.

How the scam works

Visitors land on a page titled "Just a moment...", which is a browser-check screen. That title does not itself show Raydium branding, while our classification is a Raydium impersonation page. Fake Raydium sites of this kind typically present a launch, pool or claim page that asks the user to connect a wallet and approve a transaction or signature. That approval can hand control of tokens to the attacker, and the wallet can be emptied within minutes. Some variants instead ask for a seed phrase under the pretext of verification, which gives away the entire wallet.

Evidence

The case does not rest on a single source. Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and VIPRE. That count is modest, but it comes from independent vendors. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so many wallet users are already warned before it loads. Spamhaus DBL classifies it as phishing, and it appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-10 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED, 26 days before we detected it. That short gap fits a campaign set up specifically for this lure. The site sits behind Cloudflare (AS13335, US), so the visible IP belongs to the proxy rather than the server hosting the phishing content.

What to do

If you connected a wallet on this site, use a token-approval revocation tool to cancel any permissions you granted. Then move remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you typed in a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer everything out immediately. Only reach Raydium through a bookmark you saved yourself, not through links promising a genesis launch or airdrop. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare so it acts on the origin.

Questions about genesis-raydium.io

Is genesis-raydium.io legit?

No. PhishDestroy classifies genesis-raydium.io as a Raydium impersonation page (risk: critical, 90/100); it was first detected on 2026-10-06. VirusTotal: 6/92 engines flag it. Listed on Spamhaus DBL. Treat the site as unsafe.

Is genesis-raydium.io safe to connect a wallet?

No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on genesis-raydium.io. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.

What should I do if I used genesis-raydium.io?

Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.

Recommendations & Advice for Victims

Choose the steps that match what you shared. Keep a copy of this report alongside your own records.

What should I do immediately?

Urgent

Stop using the suspicious site. Open the real service through its official app or an address you already trust.

  • Change all passwords — email, exchange accounts, anything that shares the same password
  • Enable 2FA using an authenticator app (not SMS). Disable SMS-based recovery
  • Freeze cards if you entered banking details on the phishing site

What information should I collect for my report?

FBI guidelines

Keep original emails, receipts, messages and screenshots in a secure place. A factual timeline helps the receiving authority understand what happened. IC3 evidence guidance ↗

  • Payment records — if you paid, save the receipt, amount, date, payment provider and recipient details.
  • Exact dates & times — of each transaction and first contact with scammer
  • Screenshots — scam website, chat messages, emails, wallet transactions, social media
  • All URLs & domains used by the scammer (including genesis-raydium.io)
  • Communications — emails, texts, phone numbers, usernames the scammer used

Even if you don't have all details — file a report anyway. Partial information still helps investigations.

Where should I report the scam?

  • FBI IC3 — Internet Crime Complaint Center (US federal reporting)
  • Europol — European cybercrime reporting (EU)
  • Your bank or payment provider — contact its fraud team promptly through official contact details if money or card information was exposed.
  • Local police — creates an official record, even if they can't act immediately

A report is not a guarantee of recovery or investigation, but prompt, accurate transaction data can help authorities and service providers trace the incident.

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • Fake websites — pixel-perfect clones of legitimate sites with slightly altered domains
  • Pig butchering — trust built over weeks via Telegram/WhatsApp/dating apps, then money stolen
  • Recovery scams — fraudsters pose as recovery agents and demand upfront fees. Never share a seed phrase or pay before independently verifying the provider
  • AI-powered scams — deepfakes, automated phishing, and AI-generated sites making fraud harder to detect

How can I protect myself in the future?

  • Bookmark official sites — never click links from emails, DMs, or ads
  • Verify domains — check on PhishDestroy before interacting. Check HTTPS, spelling, domain age
