PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bscita.online is an impersonation phishing site that urlscan.io matched to BNP Paribas, so it targets the bank's retail and online banking customers. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05, four days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content. Its page title reads "403 Forbidden," a server error message, while our classification is an impersonation phishing page.

How the scam works

Bank impersonation pages copy the look of a real login portal and are usually reached through texts or emails warning of a blocked account, a suspicious payment or a required security check. The victim types their client number and password into the fake form, often followed by one-time codes, card details or answers that let criminals approve transactions. With those details the operators can sign in to the real account, add payees and move money out before the victim notices. The ".online" domain carries no BNP Paribas branding, so the only thing tying it to the bank is the page content.

Evidence

On 2026-09-18, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors come from several unrelated security companies. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified BNP Paribas as the brand being imitated. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and PhishDestroy lists it on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through HOSTINGER operations, UAB on 2026-09-01 and was already in phishing use by 2026-09-05, which fits a domain bought specifically for this campaign. It resolves to 198.251.81.14 on the FranTech Solutions network in the United States. The site has a free, automated Let's Encrypt certificate, so a padlock in the browser says nothing about whether it is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered BNP Paribas credentials here, change your password through the official app or website right away and call the bank using the number on your card. Ask the bank to review recent payees, transfers and authorised devices. If you shared one-time codes or card details, ask the bank to block the card and watch your statements. Report the message that sent you here to the bank's phishing contact. Security teams should block the domain and its IP and search mail and proxy logs for users who reached it.

Questions about bscita.online

Is bscita.online legit?

No. PhishDestroy classifies bscita.online as a WhatsApp impersonation page (risk: critical, 98/100); it was first detected on 2026-09-05. VirusTotal: 14/89 engines flag it. Treat the site as unsafe.

Is bscita.online safe to connect a wallet?

No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on bscita.online. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.

What should I do if I used bscita.online?

Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.

Recommendations & Advice for Victims

Choose the steps that match what you shared. Keep a copy of this report alongside your own records.

What should I do immediately?

Urgent

Stop using the suspicious site. Open the real service through its official app or an address you already trust.

  • Change all passwords — email, exchange accounts, anything that shares the same password
  • Enable 2FA using an authenticator app (not SMS). Disable SMS-based recovery
  • Freeze cards if you entered banking details on the phishing site

What information should I collect for my report?

FBI guidelines

Keep original emails, receipts, messages and screenshots in a secure place. A factual timeline helps the receiving authority understand what happened. IC3 evidence guidance ↗

  • Payment records — if you paid, save the receipt, amount, date, payment provider and recipient details.
  • Exact dates & times — of each transaction and first contact with scammer
  • Screenshots — scam website, chat messages, emails, wallet transactions, social media
  • All URLs & domains used by the scammer (including bscita.online)
  • Communications — emails, texts, phone numbers, usernames the scammer used

Even if you don't have all details — file a report anyway. Partial information still helps investigations.

Where should I report the scam?

  • FBI IC3 — Internet Crime Complaint Center (US federal reporting)
  • Europol — European cybercrime reporting (EU)
  • Your bank or payment provider — contact its fraud team promptly through official contact details if money or card information was exposed.
  • Local police — creates an official record, even if they can't act immediately

A report is not a guarantee of recovery or investigation, but prompt, accurate transaction data can help authorities and service providers trace the incident.

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • Fake websites — pixel-perfect clones of legitimate sites with slightly altered domains
  • Pig butchering — trust built over weeks via Telegram/WhatsApp/dating apps, then money stolen
  • Recovery scams — fraudsters pose as recovery agents and demand upfront fees. Never share a seed phrase or pay before independently verifying the provider
  • AI-powered scams — deepfakes, automated phishing, and AI-generated sites making fraud harder to detect

How can I protect myself in the future?

  • Bookmark official sites — never click links from emails, DMs, or ads
  • Verify domains — check on PhishDestroy before interacting. Check HTTPS, spelling, domain age
  • "Too good to be true" = scam — guaranteed returns, celebrity endorsements, urgent deadlines
