PhishDestroy threat report
bitfinex180.com is a phishing domain built to pass as Bitfinex, the cryptocurrency exchange. The name pairs the real brand with a meaningless number, a common way to make a fake address look like an official mirror or promo site. It targets Bitfinex users and crypto traders. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-12, and it has been offline since 2026-09-25, with its DNS still inactive as of 2026-10-19.
Exchange impersonation pages copy a brand's look to collect what protects an account. Victims are typically asked for their login email and password, and often a 2FA code, which the operators can replay right away to log in and withdraw funds. Some variants instead push fake deposit or wallet-verification steps that send crypto straight to the scammers. When last served, the page returned a "403 Forbidden" title rather than a Bitfinex-styled page. We classify it as impersonation phishing based on the domain name and independent detections.
Eleven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-23. The flagging vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and Netcraft. That is broad agreement among separate security vendors, not a single outlier. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-09 through GMO Internet Group (Onamae.com), only three days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a domain bought specifically for a campaign. It was hosted on the JT TELECOM INTERNATIONAL network in Japan. It went dark roughly two weeks after detection, a typical lifespan for a throwaway phishing domain.
If you entered your Bitfinex login on this site, change your password from the official app or a bookmarked address, then reset two-factor authentication and end all active sessions. Check your account for API keys, withdrawal addresses or whitelist changes you did not make, and contact Bitfinex support if anything looks wrong. If you sent crypto as a "deposit" or verification payment, treat it as lost and report it. Do not pay anyone who promises to recover it. Defenders should block the domain and look for related bitfinex-plus-number lookalikes in DNS and proxy logs.

No. PhishDestroy classifies bitfinex180.com as a 1inch impersonation page (risk: critical, 100/100); it was first detected on 2026-09-12. VirusTotal: 11/89 engines flag it. Listed on Spamhaus DBL. Treat the site as unsafe.
No. Do not connect a wallet, sign messages or approve tokens on bitfinex180.com. Phishing sites ask for approvals (approve, setApprovalForAll, Permit2) that let the operator move your assets, and a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.
Change every password you entered there and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed something, revoke the approvals and move the remaining funds to a new wallet; never share your seed phrase. Step-by-step help: emergency guide.
