PhishDestroy threat report
bikehq.shop presents itself as a specialist retailer under the title "Premium Electric Bikes, eBikes, Parts, and Accessories | Bike". PhishDestroy classifies it as an e-commerce scam, a fake online shop aimed at people shopping for electric bikes and components. We first flagged it on 2026-10-16, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.
Fake bike shops exploit the high price of eBikes. They list well-known models at prices far below market to push buyers into ordering quickly. The checkout takes the payment, and sometimes full card details and a delivery address as well, but the bike never ships, or a cheap unrelated item arrives instead. Victims lose the purchase price and may face follow-up fraud on the card or personal details they entered.
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically flagged it as a fake shop, which matches our classification. VirusTotal tells a different story: none of its 92 engines detected the domain when checked on 2026-10-16. That gap is common for fresh fake stores, which do not host malware and so slip past signature-based scanners. Three AlienVault OTX pulses reference the domain, and among blocklists only PhishDestroy currently lists it.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-17, roughly six months before we detected it. That lead time often lets a fake store build a convincing catalogue and gather some search visibility before it starts taking orders. The site resolves to 162.222.90.54, located in the US, on a network registered to Malakmadze Web LLC in Georgia. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
If you paid bikehq.shop by card, contact your bank right away to dispute the charge and ask whether the card should be reissued. If you used PayPal or a similar service, open a non-delivery claim before the dispute window closes. Do not send further money if the shop asks for "customs" or "shipping" fees, and be wary of follow-up emails that use your order details. Security teams and payment providers should block the domain and flag related merchant activity, and anyone can report it to their national consumer fraud authority.
