PhishDestroy threat report
bigweave.shop is a fake online store that presents itself as Big Blanket Co, under the page title "The World’s Best and Biggest Blankets | Big Blanket Co®". It targets shoppers looking for oversized blankets, a niche product that sells well as a gift and invites impulse buys. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.
The shop borrows a real brand's name and product line so a search result or social media ad looks like the genuine retailer. Visitors are typically drawn in with steep discounts or "clearance" offers and pushed to check out quickly. The money is taken at checkout, and the payment card details and home address typed into the order form go to the operators. The order then either never ships or is replaced by a cheap item unlike the one advertised.
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically identified it as a fake shop. AlienVault OTX lists the domain in 4 threat pulses, so other researchers have independently tied it to fraud. VirusTotal returned 0 detections across 92 engines on 2026-10-16, a common blind spot for retail scams that host no malware. PhishDestroy is so far the only blocklist carrying it, so many browsers and filters will not warn visitors yet.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-06-09, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap like that fits a site that was prepared ahead of time and later promoted to buyers. The site is hosted on the network of Malakmadze Web LLC, a provider registered in Georgia, while the server itself geolocates to the United States. The free automated certificate from Let's Encrypt shows the padlock only means the connection is encrypted, not that the seller is real.
If you ordered from bigweave.shop, call your card issuer now to dispute the charge as fraud and request a new card number. Watch your statements for unfamiliar charges, since the card details may be reused. Expect follow-up phishing sent to the email address and home address you gave, such as fake shipping or refund messages, and do not pay any "customs" or "redelivery" fees. Defenders and ad platforms should block the domain, report any ads pointing to it, and alert payment processors handling its transactions.
