PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

wxyz.cc is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself under the title "EE.CD - 免费域名 | Free Subdomain", a bilingual Chinese-English pitch for free subdomains. MetaMask and SEAL both list it, which places it among threats to crypto wallet users. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-08. As of 2026-10-19 the domain is still online and redirects visitors onward.

How the scam works

The page title shows a free subdomain service, while we classify the site as impersonation phishing. Impersonation sites like this borrow the name and look of a known service so visitors trust it enough to sign in, register, or connect a wallet. Whatever a victim types or approves goes to the operator, not the real service. Because the domain now redirects, visitors can land on a page different from the one it advertises.

Evidence

On 2026-10-08, VirusTotal showed 6 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and VIPRE. That is a minority of engines, but several of them run independent web-threat feeds. The stronger signal comes from wallet-security sources, since MetaMask and SEAL both blocklist it alongside PhishDestroy. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing, and it appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-06-08 through Spaceship, Inc., about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was held for a while before being used, or ran unnoticed for that time. It is hosted on HostPapa's network in the United States. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate means the browser padlock only shows the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is safe.

What to do

Do not follow the redirect or sign up for anything on this site. If you created an account or entered a password there, change that password everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a crypto wallet or signed a request, review and revoke any token approvals you gave, and move funds to a fresh wallet if you approved anything you do not recognise. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web proxies, and add the hosting address 107.175.6.30 to their watchlists.
