PhishDestroy threat report
thecrashlesscoin.com is an impersonation phishing page that sells itself as "Crashless — The USDC-Backed Coin That Can't Crash." It borrows the credibility of the USDC stablecoin to lure crypto holders who want upside without volatility. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
The pitch rests on an impossible promise: a token tied to USDC that can only rise and never fall. Schemes like this usually push visitors to connect a wallet or send funds to "buy in" to the coin. That exposes them to malicious transaction or approval requests, or to transfers that cannot be reversed. What victims lose is whatever crypto they send or authorize. Any "coin" they receive in return is worthless.
Wallet-security blocklists have picked the domain up alongside PhishDestroy. MetaMask and the SEAL security alliance both list it, so many MetaMask users get a warning before the page loads. Spamhaus carries it in its domain blocklist under the phishing category. VirusTotal showed 10 of 89 engines flagging it on 2026-09-21, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it, which means other analysts have tracked it independently.
The domain was registered through Name.com, Inc. on 2026-06-17, about 86 days before it reached our blocklist. That gap points to a prepared operation rather than a throwaway page. Traffic runs through Cloudflare's network, which hides the origin server, and the address geolocates to Germany.
Do not connect a wallet to this site or send funds to buy its coin. If you already connected, use a token-approval checker to review and revoke any permissions you granted, then move the remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you sent crypto, record the transaction hashes and report them to your wallet provider and local authorities. Expect follow-up contacts offering "recovery" for a fee, because these are a common second scam. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet-warning feeds.
