PhishDestroy threat report
smartsystemfromfacebook.com is a fake crypto exchange that borrows the Facebook name to look like a trusted, platform-backed investment service. It targets people who hope to grow their savings through automated crypto trading, often after seeing promotions on social media. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-23. The site has been offline since 2026-09-29 and was still unreachable at the last check on 2026-10-19.
The page presented itself as "rustflowdexsystem | AI Trading Platform | Official Website", promising profits from an artificial-intelligence trading engine. The page title shows a different product name than the Facebook branding in the domain, and we classified the site as a fake exchange. Schemes like this ask visitors to register, deposit crypto or card funds, and then show a dashboard of fabricated gains to encourage larger deposits. When victims try to withdraw, they are told to pay "fees" or "taxes" first, or the account is simply frozen. Everything deposited is lost, along with any personal and identity details submitted during signup.
VirusTotal flagged the domain on 2026-09-25 with 15 of 91 engines reporting it as malicious, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses. It is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2025-10-13 through MainReg Inc., nearly a year before it surfaced as an active scam. It was hosted at 185.62.56.121 on the Snel.com B.V. network in the Netherlands. Its TLS certificate was issued by ZeroSSL GmbH (ZeroSSL ECC DV SSL CA 2), a domain-validated certificate that confirms only control of the domain, not the legitimacy of the business behind it.
If you deposited money, stop all further payments immediately, especially any requested "release" or withdrawal fees, as these never unlock funds. Contact your bank or card issuer to dispute transactions, and report crypto transfers to the exchange you sent them from and to local police or cybercrime authorities. If you created an account, change any reused passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and watch for follow-up "recovery service" offers, which are a common second scam. Defenders should block the domain and its IP, add it to web filters, and alert users that Facebook does not operate any AI crypto trading platform.
