Overview

firelight-allocation.asia is an impersonation phishing page posing as Firelight. It carries the title "Firelight – The Protection Layer for Digital Assets", and the domain name promises an "allocation" to Firelight's audience of crypto holders. PhishDestroy flagged it on 2026-10-07, the same day it was registered. On 2026-10-19 the domain still responded as live, but its DNS was inactive, so the phishing content was no longer reachable.

How the scam works

The page copies Firelight's branding and its pitch as a security layer for digital assets, then adds an allocation or claim angle so visitors believe tokens or rewards are waiting for them. Schemes like this ask the visitor to connect a wallet to claim. The next step is usually a signature or token approval that hands control of funds to the attacker, or a request for a recovery phrase disguised as verification. A protection product makes a convenient disguise, because users expect it to ask for wallet access. Anyone who signs or shares a seed phrase can lose whatever the wallet holds.

Evidence

On 2026-10-11, 14 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They included BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, Certego and CRDF. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognized Firelight branding on it. The wallet-security blocklists of MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, which means many wallet users are warned before connecting. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-10-07 and was caught that same day. That points to a short-lived campaign domain spun up for a single lure rather than an established site. It sits behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the true origin server. Its free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock icon offers no proof of legitimacy.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this page, check its token approvals with a revocation tool and revoke any you don't recognize, and treat that wallet as at risk. If you typed in a recovery phrase, move your remaining assets right away to a new wallet with a fresh seed, because the old one is compromised. Get Firelight news only from the project's official channels, and ignore allocation or airdrop links from DMs, replies or ads. Defenders should block the domain and its Firelight-themed lookalikes, and watch for new allocation-style registrations using the brand.
