The page presents itself as "Euvic Ledger MEA", which reads like a corporate or regional business name rather than Ledger's own branding, while the domain itself is built around the Ledger name.
How the scam works
Ledger impersonation sites usually lure owners with an urgent pretext such as a security alert, firmware update, device verification or account synchronization. The victim is then asked to type their 24-word recovery phrase into the page. Ledger never asks for that phrase online, so anyone who hands it over gives the attacker full control of the wallet. The attacker can then empty it from any device, without the physical Ledger and with no way to reverse the transfers. The "MEA" in the title suggests the bait may be framed as a regional office or partner service for the Middle East and Africa.
Evidence
On 2026-10-16, 8 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but these vendors work independently of each other and of us. The domain is also on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Several separate crypto-security sources reaching the same verdict makes this a strong case.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Wix.com Ltd. on 2026-10-08, just two days before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap fits a site built to be used quickly, before takedowns catch up. It is hosted on Render's cloud platform in the United States. Its TLS certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. From a clean device, move all funds immediately to a new wallet created with a fresh recovery phrase, and never reuse the exposed phrase. If you only visited the page and typed nothing, close it and clear any saved form data. Get Ledger software and support only through Ledger's official channels, and remember that no genuine Ledger process asks for your 24 words. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, report it to Render and Wix.com for takedown, and watch for similar lookalike domains that pair "ledger" with corporate-sounding prefixes.
