PhishDestroy threat report
crystal-ledger.com is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger, the hardware wallet maker, and targets people who keep crypto on Ledger devices. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-09, four days after the domain was registered. The page title reads "The Crystal Ledger" rather than Ledger's own branding, while we classified the site as Ledger impersonation. The site has been offline since 2026-10-16 and was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Ledger impersonation pages borrow the company's name and look to make visitors think they are dealing with official support, a firmware update or a wallet sync. The usual trap is a form that asks for the 24-word recovery phrase, or a prompt to connect a wallet and sign transactions. A recovery phrase gives the attacker full control of every account derived from it, so funds can be swept within minutes, and no hardware device can stop that. Ledger never asks for a recovery phrase through a website.
Nine of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-13. The flagging vendors include BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist as phishing, and the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists carry it alongside PhishDestroy. It also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so several independent teams reached the same conclusion.
The domain was registered on 2026-10-05 through Cloudflare, Inc. and was flagged within four days. Short-lived domains like this are typical of phishing runs that expect to be blocked quickly. It resolved to Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server sits behind the proxy. Its certificate came from Google Trust Services, which shows the padlock in a browser meant nothing about legitimacy.
If you typed your recovery phrase into this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a freshly generated phrase on your Ledger and move any remaining funds there right away. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker and watch for unexpected transactions. Defenders should block the domain, search DNS and proxy logs for visits between 2026-10-05 and 2026-10-16, and remind users that Ledger support never requests a seed phrase.
