How the scam works

The service then asks for an upfront fee, a "case processing" charge, a tax or a deposit to "unlock" the recovered balance. Pages like this commonly also collect identity documents, exchange logins or wallet details under the pretext of verification. Nothing is recovered, and every payment goes to the same kind of operators who caused the first loss.
Evidence
On 2026-09-29, eight of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky, SOCRadar and desenmascara.me. The count is modest, but the flags come from unrelated vendors that reached the same verdict independently. MetaMask and SEAL list the site alongside PhishDestroy. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it, so other researchers are tracking it too.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-09-09, only eight days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of a site built for immediate use rather than an established firm. It runs on DigitalOcean cloud hosting in the United States. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it the browser padlock, which proves only that the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the operators are legitimate.
What to do
Do not pay any fee, tax or deposit requested by this "helpline". Genuine recovery never requires paying the recoverer upfront. If you already sent money, save every message and payment record, and report it to your bank or exchange and to the police. If you shared ID documents, watch for identity misuse. If you gave out exchange or email logins, change those passwords now and turn on app-based 2FA. Security teams and platforms should block the domain, alert support staff who handle fraud victims, and flag any recovery-service ads or messages that point to it.
