Overview

PhishDestroy’s intake system classified tspim.info as malicious because the domain was newly registered (2026-09-21) and an AI model assigned a 90% confidence of phishing. The prior assessment noted that the site mimics the U.S. government’s Thrift Savings Plan by using its name and a login‑style page title on a .info TLD. The domain was first observed by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-22 and returned an HTTP 302 redirect at that time.

How the scam works

In this category attackers host a replica of a legitimate login portal and lure users into entering credentials, which can then be harvested for unauthorized access to retirement accounts. The fraudulent page typically mirrors the visual design and wording of the official TSP site to increase credibility.

Evidence

VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-10-22 and reported zero malicious or suspicious detections across 92 engines. Google Safe Browsing checked the same day and did not flag the URL.
