PhishDestroy threat report
sushi-s.com is an impersonation phishing domain whose name appears to borrow from Sushi, the brand behind the SushiSwap decentralized exchange, with a stray "-s" added to pass a quick glance. Its presence on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists points to crypto wallet holders as the intended audience. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-13. The site has been offline since 2026-09-23, and its DNS was still inactive when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation pages of this kind copy the look of a trusted DeFi front end and wait for traffic from search ads, social posts or direct messages. A visitor who believes they are on the real exchange is prompted to connect a wallet and sign what looks like a routine swap or approval, or is asked for a recovery phrase under the pretext of a sync or verification step. A signed token approval lets the operator move the approved assets later. A typed seed phrase hands over the entire wallet.
The classification has independent support. On 2026-09-23, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. Both MetaMask and the SEAL security alliance list it alongside PhishDestroy, which means wallet users running those protections should see a warning. The domain also appears in 12 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so several separate research feeds have tracked it.
The domain was registered on 2026-08-09 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu, about five weeks before PhishDestroy caught it. That interval fits a domain prepared in advance and then pushed live for a short campaign. It resolved to an address on the Team Internet AG network in Germany. The site went dark only ten days after first detection.
If you connected a wallet to sushi-s.com, review and revoke any token approvals granted around that time using a reputable approval checker. If you typed your seed phrase there, treat the wallet as compromised and move the remaining funds to a new wallet with a freshly generated phrase. Reach SushiSwap only through bookmarks you saved yourself, never through links in ads or DMs. Defenders should keep the domain blocked even though it is inactive, because dormant lookalikes are often reactivated, and should watch for similar Sushi-themed registrations.
