The domain secure-kraken-pro.daftpage.com is a confirmed brand impersonation phishing site targeting Kraken, a legitimate cryptocurrency exchange. Currently offline, this domain was designed to deceive users into believing they were accessing Kraken's secure platform, as evidenced by its page title 'Kraken: Buy and sell crypto securely'. The site posed a high risk of credential theft and financial loss for anyone who interacted with it.

Technical indicators reveal a sophisticated threat: the domain was flagged as phishing by Google Safe Browsing and appeared on one security blocklist. VirusTotal analysis showed 11 out of 95 security vendors flagged this domain as malicious. It resolved to IP address 216.150.16.65 and was registered through OVH, SAS on October 24, 2021. The site used a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate (R13) to appear legitimate, but its true purpose was to harvest login credentials from unsuspecting Kraken users.

Although the site is currently offline, users who may have visited it should immediately change their Kraken account passwords and enable two-factor authentication. Monitor accounts for unauthorized activity and report any suspicious transactions. PhishDestroy recommends always verifying URLs by typing them directly into the browser and avoiding links in unsolicited messages.
