PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

sacoinp.com is a phishing site that presents itself under the COINP name. The page title reads simply "COINP", and the domain adds a short prefix to that brand so it looks plausible in a link or search result. It targets crypto users who expect to reach the genuine COINP service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-29. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still alive and redirecting visitors elsewhere.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites copy a familiar brand's name and look so victims trust the page. Then they ask for something valuable: account logins and one-time codes, a deposit into a fake account, or a wallet connection and signature. Anything typed or signed on sacoinp.com goes to the operators, not to COINP. Victims can lose exchange credentials, deposited funds, or tokens from a connected wallet. Because the domain now redirects, its links may forward visitors to a new landing page while the bait URL keeps circulating.

Evidence

Wallet-security blocklists back the classification. MetaMask and the SEAL community list both include the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users may see a warning before the page loads. VirusTotal coverage is thinner. On 2026-10-03, 6 of 91 engines flagged it: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. A clean result from other engines therefore does not mean the site is safe. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-22 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, just seven days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains set up for a single campaign. Traffic is served through Cloudflare, Inc., on an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the actual origin server. The Let's Encrypt certificate only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered a COINP or exchange password on sacoinp.com, change it on the real service right away. Turn on app-based 2FA, check for unfamiliar sessions or withdrawal addresses, and review login and API activity. If you sent a deposit, stop all further payments and keep transaction IDs for your exchange and for police. Ignore any follow-up "fee" or "verification" request. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet. Defenders should block the domain and anything it redirects to, and add it to mail and web filters.
