Overview

primexponentminers.com presents itself as a mining company. Its page title advertises a portfolio split of "50% Gold 20% Lithium 20% Copper", the kind of hard-asset pitch aimed at people looking for crypto-funded investment returns. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page and first flagged it on 2026-10-02. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page title describes a commodity mining business, while our classification is impersonation phishing. Schemes of this type borrow the look and language of a legitimate resources company, with allocation percentages, a corporate name and talk of tangible assets, to make an online deposit feel like a stake in real mines. Visitors are pushed to register, hand over personal details and send crypto into an "investment plan" whose balance exists only on the site's own dashboard. Victims lose whatever they deposit, along with any identity or login data they submitted.

Evidence

On 2026-10-02, 9 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai, SafeToOpen and the Vietnamese anti-fraud group Chong Lua Dao. That is a minority of engines, but the flags come from several unrelated vendors, which supports the classification. PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist on record listing it.

The domain was registered on 2023-04-07 through Hosting Concepts B.V. (Registrar.eu), roughly three and a half years before PhishDestroy detected it.
