PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

novafinancecore.com presents itself as a finance brand called "Novafinancecore" and is built to look like a legitimate banking service. It targets people looking for online banking, investment or account services who may trust a polished financial homepage. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25 as an impersonation phishing page. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page carries the bland title "Home - Novafinancecore" and uses the familiar layout of a bank or finance portal. Scanners match that layout to generic banking templates rather than to a single named bank. Sites like this usually push visitors to sign in, open an account or move money. Whatever the victim enters, such as usernames, passwords, one-time codes, card or identity details, goes straight to the operators. Some victims are also led into depositing funds that they cannot get back.

Evidence

On 2026-10-07, 11 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Lionic. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors are independent of one another and agree on the verdict. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised it as a generic banking look-alike. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too.

The domain was registered on 2025-12-01 through Global Domain Group LLC, almost ten months before PhishDestroy detected it. That long gap suggests the domain was set up well in advance or ran unnoticed for months. It is hosted at 198.251.81.188 on the FranTech Solutions network in the United States. Its certificate comes from Let's Encrypt, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.

Turn on or reset two-factor authentication, and call your real bank using the number on your card to report possible exposure.
