How the scam works
The page presents itself as the MerionPay homepage under the title "Home - MerionPay" and urlscan.io matched it to a generic banking layout. Pages like this copy the look of a payment provider's site so visitors trust it enough to sign in or enter account and payment details. Anything typed in goes to the operators, who can use it to take over the real account, move funds or resell the credentials. The hostname trick, with a familiar brand name followed by an unrelated domain, is meant to pass a quick glance at the address bar.
Evidence
Twelve of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-07. They include BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Netcraft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai, a spread of independent vendors that agree it is malicious. urlscan.io also returned a malicious verdict on the page. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.
Infrastructure
intere-wallet.org was registered through Name.com, Inc. on 2026-10-03, the same day PhishDestroy detected it. That timing points to a domain set up specifically for this campaign. It is hosted on Aquiryn LLC's network in the US. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it the padlock icon, but that only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered a MerionPay login or other credentials here, change the password on the genuine service at once and turn on two-factor authentication. Change it as well on any other account that uses the same password. If you submitted card or bank details, contact your bank or card issuer to block the card and dispute unfamiliar charges. Then review recent account activity for logins or transfers you did not make. Defenders should block the domain intere-wallet.org and all its subdomains, alert on hostnames that embed payment brands ahead of an unrelated domain, and report the page to its registrar and hosting provider.
