kalanacarves.com is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself as Shopee, using the marketplace's name as its page title. It targeted Shopee buyers and sellers who might trust a familiar storefront. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27. The site went offline on 2026-09-28 and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Pages like this copy the look of a Shopee login or checkout screen and are usually spread through text messages, chat apps or social media posts about orders, refunds, parcel issues or seller payouts. Visitors who enter their username, password, one-time codes or card details hand them straight to the operators. The attackers can then take over the Shopee account, spend stored balances or vouchers, change payout details on seller accounts, or use the card elsewhere. The domain name has no connection to Shopee, which is one of the clearest signs that the page was not legitimate.
Evidence
On 2026-09-27, VirusTotal showed 13 of 91 security engines flagging the domain. Those engines included Google Safe Browsing, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, CRDF, Ermes and alphaMountain.ai. Google Safe Browsing classified it as social engineering, the category browsers use to show phishing warnings. urlscan.io also rated the page malicious and independently recognised Shopee branding on it. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-15 through WebNic.cc (Web Commerce Communications Limited) and was caught 12 days later. It stopped resolving the next day. That short lifespan is typical of disposable phishing domains, which are set up, pushed to victims through a burst of messages and then abandoned. The site was hosted in Hong Kong on the Netsec Limited network (NETSEC-HK).
What to do
If you entered your Shopee login on this site, change your Shopee password immediately. Also change it on any other service where you used the same password, and turn on two-factor authentication. Review your Shopee orders, saved addresses, linked bank accounts and seller payout settings for changes you did not make. If you entered card details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any unfamiliar charges. Defenders should block the domain and its Hong Kong hosting address, and search mail, SMS and proxy logs for links to kalanacarves.com to find users who may have been exposed.
