Overview

PhishDestroy’s intake system automatically listed jaxx-wallet.to as malicious because VirusTotal reported one malicious detection for a domain only 21 days old. The recorded page title reads “Jaxx Wallet | Crypto Wallet for Assets, Portfolio and Swaps” and the page excerpt includes a “Connect Wallet” prompt, which the prior assessment identified as a typical credential‑theft lure. The domain was first seen by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-23 and returned HTTP 200 at that time.

How the scam works

In a wallet‑phishing scheme an attacker reproduces the look and branding of a legitimate crypto wallet and asks visitors to connect their wallet. When a user authorises the connection, the attacker can capture private keys, seed phrases, or obtain transaction approvals to drain funds. The lure typically appears as a “Connect Wallet” button on a page that mimics the official service.

Evidence

VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-10-22 and recorded three detections across 92 engines, with one vendor (Forcepoint ThreatSeeker) labeling it malicious and two labeling it suspicious. Google Safe Browsing checked on 2026-10-23 and did not flag the site. External blocklists MetaMask and SEAL listed the domain, and PhishDestroy’s internal list also contains it.
