fortnite-game.io is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the Fortnite name to target players of Epic Games' battle royale. Automated scanning tied the page to the Epic Games brand. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19. It went offline on 2026-09-21, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fortnite lookalike sites usually lure players with free V-Bucks, rare skins or giveaways. The visitor is then sent to a fake Epic Games sign-in or a "verification" step. Whatever is typed there, including the email, password and sometimes a 2FA code or card details, goes straight to the operators. A hijacked Epic account can lose purchased items and saved payment methods, and it can be resold. The page title showed nothing but the bare domain, which gives no hint of the fake brand interface behind it.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised Epic Games branding on it. On VirusTotal, only 3 of 89 engines (alphaMountain.ai, Fortinet and SOCRadar) flagged the domain as of 2026-09-20. That thin coverage is typical for a site caught within days of launch. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam source, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses. The PhishDestroy blocklist also carries it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-08-28, about three weeks before it was detected. That pattern fits a disposable domain bought for a single campaign. It was hosted on the UFO TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED network in the United Kingdom. The site was dead within roughly two days of first detection.
What to do
If you entered Epic Games or Fortnite login details on this site, change your Epic password now. Use a new password everywhere it was reused, and turn on authenticator-app 2FA. Review your account's sign-in activity and purchase history, and remove saved payment cards if you supplied card data. Ask your bank to block any charges you do not recognise. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and search mail and web logs for earlier visits.
