How the scam works
Impersonation pages borrow the look, wording and flow of a service the victim already uses. Then they ask for whatever unlocks money: a login and password, a one-time code, a seed phrase, a wallet connection or a direct payment. Anything typed into the page goes straight to the operators. They can use it to take over accounts, empty balances or run follow-up scams on the same victim. The bland, nearly empty title is typical of throwaway domains that get repointed or re-skinned between campaigns.
Evidence
On 2026-09-18, VirusTotal showed 15 of 89 security engines marking the domain as malicious. The flagging vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai. Agreement across that many separate vendors is a strong signal. The domain also appears in 5 AlienVault OTX threat-intelligence pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently. It is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-01-15, nearly eight months before PhishDestroy detected it. Phishing operators often let a domain sit for a while like this so it looks less suspicious to filters that distrust new registrations. The site sits behind Cloudflare, on an address the hosting network lists in Canada, and the proxy hides the real origin server. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted, not that the site is genuine.
What to do
If you entered a password on feqonuu.com, change it right away on the real service and anywhere you reused it. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you gave out a seed phrase or connected a wallet, move your remaining funds to a newly created wallet and revoke any token approvals you granted. If you shared card or personal details, contact your bank and watch for follow-up phishing. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and web proxies and search logs for past visits. Abuse reports to the registrar and to Cloudflare speed up takedown.
