As of 2026-10-18, the site remains alive at the network level, though its content is DNS-inactive, meaning the malicious page may not be actively resolving for all visitors.

How the scam works

Seed phrase theft pages present victims with a fake interface that mimics a trusted service — in this case, ChangeNOW's exchange platform — and then prompt users to enter their wallet recovery phrase, typically under the pretense of connecting a wallet, resolving a transaction error, or verifying an account. Once the seed phrase is submitted, the attacker gains complete and irreversible control of every wallet secured by those words. Unlike a wallet drainer that requires a transaction signature, seed phrase theft requires no on-chain interaction: the credentials are harvested directly and the victim's funds can be swept at any time afterward.
