PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

dls27.net is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as a download portal for a modified version of the DLS 27 mobile football game. Its headline promises "Unlimited Coins & Money" for Android and "ISO" (a misspelling of iOS), which aims it squarely at players hoping to skip in-game purchases. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-04, and it was still online and serving content as of 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages built around a "Mod APK" offer use the lure of free premium currency to get visitors to drop their guard. A typical funnel walks the player through fake generator or download steps, then asks for a game or social login, pushes a "human verification" survey, or offers an installer from outside the official app stores. What the victim gives up depends on the step they complete: account credentials, personal details entered into surveys, or control of a phone that has run an untrusted APK. The page presents itself as a game-mod download rather than a crypto service, but its imitation of the DLS brand is the reason we classified it as impersonation.

Evidence

On 2026-10-15, VirusTotal showed 4 of 92 engines flagging the domain: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a low count, so most security tools will not warn a visitor yet. It is also listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist and appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows that other researchers have tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-03-18 through NameCheap, Inc., about six and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That long window suggests the site could collect search traffic from game fans for months before anyone flagged it. Hosting is on Namecheap's own network in the US, so the registration and the server sit with a single provider.

What to do

If you installed an APK from this site, uninstall it, run a mobile security scan and check which apps hold accessibility or device-admin permissions. If you entered a game, Google, Apple or social media login, change that password immediately, turn on two-factor authentication and sign out of other sessions. If you filled in surveys with your phone number or card details, watch for premium-SMS charges and contact your carrier or bank. Defenders should block dls27.net at the DNS and proxy level and report it to the hosting provider for takedown.
