On 2026-09-25, 6 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That is a modest number, but these are independent vendors, including Netcraft, which specializes in fraud and phishing. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam source. It also appears in 5 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers had already tied it to malicious activity.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-03-02 through Spaceship, Inc. That was roughly six and a half months before PhishDestroy flagged it, which shows the operation either sat unused for a while or ran unnoticed for months. The site was hosted on Hostinger International Limited's network in Germany. It used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only meant the connection was encrypted and said nothing about whether the operator was legitimate.
