The domain connectapp-ledger.live is a sophisticated brand impersonation scam designed to steal cryptocurrency from Ledger users. It mimics the official Ledger Live application with a page titled "Ledger Wallet (ex. Ledger Live) - Crypto App | Ledger," tricking visitors into entering their recovery phrase or private keys. Once obtained, attackers drain the victim's crypto wallet. This is a classic crypto drainer operation, leveraging the trust associated with the Ledger brand to harvest credentials.

PhishDestroy's investigation reveals several red flags. VirusTotal shows 20 out of 95 security vendors flagging this domain as malicious, a strong indicator of its dangerous nature. The domain was created on February 21, 2026, through PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com, a registrar commonly abused by scammers. It resolves to IP 172.67.175.234 and appeared on one security blocklist, as well as one threat intelligence pulse on AlienVault OTX. Notably, the site has no SSL certificate, making any data transmitted insecure. Although currently taken offline, similar domains often reappear, so vigilance is crucial.
