Overview

casino.konawex.com is an online casino that PhishDestroy classifies as fraudulent gambling. It targets players who deposit cryptocurrency expecting to bet and cash out. urlscan.io tagged the page as a crypto scam. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-29. On 2026-10-19 the hostname was not serving content, but the domain is still registered and can be pointed at a live page again at any time.

How the scam works

Fake crypto casinos look like real betting sites, with game lobbies, generous sign-up bonuses and a wallet address for deposits. Balances on screen can grow quickly, sometimes through rigged early wins, to encourage bigger deposits. Withdrawals then stall. Players are told to clear wagering requirements, pass verification or pay a fee before funds are released. Anything sent to the site, including those extra fees, is effectively lost, because crypto transfers cannot be reversed.

Evidence

On 2026-10-01, 14 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the hostname. The vendors included BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. That is broad agreement among unrelated vendors for a site that is only weeks old. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict with a crypto-scam brand match. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, which means many mail and DNS filters already block it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-07-07 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, about twelve weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That short lifespan is typical of disposable scam sites that run for a while and are then dropped or rebranded. The casino sits on a subdomain, so the parent domain can host other pages or new lures. It was hosted on the FEMO IT SOLUTIONS LIMITED network in Germany.

What to do

Do not deposit any more money, and do not pay fees, taxes or verification charges to unlock a balance. That money will not come back either. Save transaction IDs, deposit addresses and chat logs, then report the loss to your local police or cybercrime unit and to the exchange you sent funds from. Ignore anyone who later offers to recover your money for a fee, since recovery scams often follow casino fraud. If you reused your casino password anywhere else, change it. Defenders should block konawex.com and its subdomains at DNS and proxy level and treat the Spamhaus DBL listing as grounds to filter mail that references the domain.
