Overview

casino.foapux.com is a gambling site that PhishDestroy classifies as fraudulent. It sits on a subdomain of foapux.com and targets people looking to play casino games with cryptocurrency. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-29. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the host still responded, but its DNS had gone inactive, so the casino content was no longer reachable through the domain.

How the scam works

Fraudulent crypto casinos look like ordinary betting sites. They show games, bonuses and a running balance, but the money is never really in play. Victims deposit crypto, often lured by inflated welcome offers, and may see on-screen "winnings" grow. A withdrawal then gets stalled, blocked by sudden verification demands, or made conditional on a further deposit or "fee". Deposits sent to such a site are effectively lost, because crypto transfers cannot be reversed. urlscan.io tagged this page as a cryptoscam, which fits that pattern.

Evidence

13 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was scanned on 2026-10-01. Among them were BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. That is a modest share of engines, but it includes several major consumer antivirus vendors, so many users would already see a warning. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, which affects mail filtering and DNS-based blocking.

Infrastructure

The parent domain was registered on 2026-06-26 through Fewmoretaps OU (Trustname.com). PhishDestroy flagged the casino 95 days later, so the setup ran for about three months before it was caught. The site was hosted in Germany on the network of FEMO IT SOLUTIONS LIMITED. Using a casino subdomain under a generic parent name lets operators swap in new subdomains or themes cheaply.

What to do

Do not deposit anything more, and ignore any request to pay a fee, tax or "unlock" amount to release a balance. If you already sent crypto, collect the transaction hashes, the receiving addresses and any chat or email exchanges. Report them to the exchange you sent the funds from and to local police, and be wary of "recovery services" that contact you, since these are often a second scam. If you created an account with a password you use elsewhere, change it on those other sites. Defenders should block foapux.com and its subdomains, and can rely on the existing Spamhaus DBL listing for mail and DNS filtering.
