How the scam works
Victims usually arrive from an email that looks like a HiNet notice, such as a full mailbox, a password expiry or a pending security check. The link opens a copy of the HiNet webmail sign-in screen. Any email address and password typed into it go to the operators, not to HiNet. A working mailbox lets them read private mail, reset passwords on linked accounts and send new phishing from a trusted address.
Evidence
On 2026-10-03, 6 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, MalwareURL, SOCRadar, URLQuery and VIPRE. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate puts a padlock in the address bar, but the padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is genuine.

If you entered your HiNet email and password on this page, change the password right away through the official HiNet site. Do the same on every other account that uses the same password.
