It went offline on 2026-09-12, and a check on 2026-10-19 found it still dead, with nothing served at the root.
How the scam works
Victims typically reach a page like this through a text message, email or chat telling them a credit or transfer is waiting and must be confirmed. The link opens a copy of the BHD Internet Banking login, and the familiar page title makes the browser tab look legitimate. Anything typed into the form goes to the operators, including usernames, passwords and often one-time codes or token values. With those, criminals can log in to the real account and move money out before the customer notices.
Evidence
On 2026-09-11, 12 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the address. The vendors included BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, G-Data, Emsisoft, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and LevelBlue, a spread of independent engines rather than a single outlier. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised the BHD brand in its content. The PhishDestroy blocklist lists it.
Infrastructure
The site was a free subdomain on Netlify's hosting platform, so there was no domain to register. A disposable page like this can be put up in minutes and abandoned just as quickly, which fits its roughly one-day lifespan. It resolved to Amazon infrastructure in Germany. Its DigiCert certificate is the platform's standard TLS, so the padlock in the address bar said nothing about whether the page was genuine.
What to do
If you entered your BHD username and password on this page, change them immediately through the bank's official app or website. Contact BHD to report possible compromise and ask them to review recent transactions.
