PhishDestroy threat report
astronchain.org is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as an official ASTRON site under the title "Home · ASTRON Global Expansion". It targets crypto users who know or are searching for the ASTRON brand and might trust a page that looks like its expansion announcement. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online with its content live.
Impersonation sites like this copy a project's name and branding, then frame the visit around an announcement, here a "Global Expansion". That framing pushes visitors to act quickly through the site's own buttons and forms instead of the real project's channels. Once someone trusts the page, typical next steps include requests for login details or a wallet recovery phrase, or prompts to send funds for a supposed launch or allocation. Anything entered or sent goes to the operators, not to ASTRON.
Eight of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-11: BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but the vendors are independent of one another and agree on the verdict. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy's own, so wallet-focused defenders have reached the same conclusion. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it as well.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-23, only 14 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway sites set up for a single campaign. It is registered through Cloudflare, Inc. and served behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the actual origin server. The Google Trust Services certificate is issued automatically, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
Do not use astronchain.org, and reach ASTRON only through channels you have verified independently. If you entered a wallet recovery phrase or private key there, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet with a fresh phrase right away. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. If you sent funds, keep the transaction records and report them, and do not pay any further "fees" to recover them. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to phishing filters. The site was still live on 2026-10-19, so reporting it to Cloudflare speeds up takedown.
